Itinerary
Day 1: Saigon - Vinh Long- Can Tho (_,L,_)
07:00: Jump on the car and hit to Vinh Long province.
12:00: Arrive at a small village - non touristy town in Vinh Long province, only available at Innoviet. Motor-boat will bring you to the home stay; there you’ll be greeted by the host family.
13:00: Have lunch in a very cosy atmosphere. Relax on hammock
14:30: Ride your bike (about 2,5 hours) around the small village roads shaded by bamboo, banana, rambutan, pomelo, mangosteen trees. Pass the immense green rice fields with flying egrets, working farmers and admire the beautiful scenery. You will see the local students on their way back to home from school in their beautiful Ao Dai uniform. Visit some houses where you can meet local people and see their real life.
Have an overview of the “Rice Making Procedure” in one Rice workshop. Get to know what are the "same same, but different" trees in the Mekong Delta. You will practise & try to guess the names of these trees just by your nose!
Optional: Instead of cycling trip you can enjoy 1 hour boat trip and 2 hours for doing gardening with local family: Being real farmers to irrigate garden, transplant trees in practically… with lots of fun and valuable experiences!
17:00: Car to Can Tho. Check in hotel. Have free time.
Day 2: Can Tho – Saigon (_,_,_)
06:30: Take a boat trip (4 hours) to see Cai Rang, the biggest floating market in the Western of Vietnam. On the way you’ll visit a rice noodle factory and learn how to make rice noodle. Then take a slow boat trip along the small beautiful canals.
13:00: Car back to Saigon or local express bus to Rach Gia/ Chau Doc (Extra cost).
