You will go through Tien Giang, Vinh Long, Can Tho province and Chau Doc (border of Vietnam to Cambodia). You get a 5 hours express boat trip to Phnompenh (Cambodia).

Itinerary

Day 1: Saigon - Vinh Long (-/L/D)
07:00: Car to Vinh Long province.
12:00: Arrive at a small village - non touristy town in Vinh Long province, only available at Innoviet. Motor-boat will bring you to the homestay, there you’ll be greeted by the host family.
13:00: Have lunch in a very cosy atmosphere.
14:00: Relax on hammock.
14:30: Ride your bike (about 2,5 hours) around the small village roads shaded by bamboo, banana, rambutan, pomelo, mangosteen trees. Pass the immense green rice fields with flying egrets, working farmers and admire the beautiful scenery. You will see the local students on their way back to home from school in their beautiful Ao Dai uniform. Visit some houses where you can meet local people and see their real life. Have an overview of the “Rice Making Procedure” in one Rice workshop. Get to know what are the "same same, but different" trees in the Mekong Delta. You will practise & try to guess the names of these trees just by your nose!
17:00: Back to the homestay. Prepare for dinner cooking with many recipes of Vietnamese food, have dinner.
Take part in a Vietnamese lesson with the family for shopping in market tomorrow. After that we walk around thevillage to see and catch fire-flies before retiring in one of the rural houses in the Mekong Delta.

Day 2: Vinh Long - Can Tho (B/L/-)

06:30: Visit the floating market by boat in the early morning and see how people there live and trade. Go shopping at market on land where you will be Vietnamese to buy something for lunch in Vietnamese. Boat to visit brick factory, local pagoda back to the homestay. You will join in making rice paper, walking through the fruit gardens and fields. Take part in a mini cooking class for lunch. After taking a rest, you’ll say good bye to the host family.
15:00: Local boat to Can Tho. Check in hotel. Have free time.
This tour is an authentic, ‘non-touristy' and priceless experience of the lives of the people living along the delta. In addition to boat trips there
are shore excursions, including bicycle trips, which provide an up-close view of the lives of the locals. The highlights of the tour are the amazing
island views, firsthand experience of rice growing and staying in local houses, the floating markets and a very busy and colourful land market.

Day 3: Can Tho - Chau Doc (B)
06:30: Take a boat trip (4 hours) to see Cai Rang, the biggest floating market in the Western of Vietnam. On the way you’ll visit a rice noodle factory and learn how to make rice noodle. Then take a slow boat trip along the small beautiful canals. Eat lunch and then take a car to the An Giang province.
16:30: Arrive at Tra su Cajuput forest; take a one hour boat trip through the forest to see the amazing natural bird life.
17:30: Visit fishing farm
18:00: Check into the hotel in Chau Doc and spend the night at leisure.

Day 4: Chau Doc - Phnom Penh (B)
07:00: “Xe loi” picks you up from your hotel and take you to the boat jetty for boarding the express boat to Phnom Penh.
13:00: Arrive at Phnom Penh. This is the end of the tour.

- Accommodation: There are two home stays: typical house and new style house. Please request which one you prefer.
- Typical house: beautiful view (river view, among fruit garden),
- New style house: Private room for a group of two or four in one room. Beds have Vietnamese mattresses - no sheet, river view, normal toilet.
- First lunch and meals at the home stay
- Hotel in Can Tho: Kim Lan hotel (two-star hotel): Standard room (air conditioned), breakfast.
- Hotel in Chau Doc: Standard hotel: Air conditioned room, breakfast.

- Express boat from Chau Doc - Phnompenh.

Excluded:

- First breakfast and meals in Can Tho, Chau Doc, are not included.
- Personal expenses. Visa to Cambodia (easy making at the border).
